BACK HOME

Where’s home when the heart wanders? Are we defined by our roots or by the size of our wings? Enchanting and unconventional, “Back Home” is a musical about belonging, love and identity.

A South American woman moves to New York. Two first-generation American sisters reunite after a long journey. The three women share stories of expectations, dreams and regrets. When their past is revealed they must decide what kind of future they will pursue.

With a cast of actors-musicians who accompany themselves on the South American folk-pop score, “Back Home” is a unique theatrical experience that will make you feel nostalgic for the place, or time, you call home.

Book, lyrics & music by BMI Musical Theatre Workshop lyricist and LinkedIn showrunner Florencia Iriondo.

Music and arrangements by Berklee graduate and New York Innovative Theater Award winner, Luis D'Elias.
